About

Tracy D. Morgan is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in private practice in NYC for over fourteen years, and an advanced candidate at The Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies and a doctoral candidate at The Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis in the program in Psychoanalysis and Culture. She almost became an academic historian, studying the history of sexuality, medicine, culture and race, and has the M.Phil to prove it but decided that history with a little “h” was more her metier. She is steeped in modes that are decisively Modern Analytic, and has been mentored, analyzed and supervised by adherents of Spotnitz, and by Ormont, and Meadow themselves. Nevertheless, she is perpetually interested in experiencing and exploring what is going on in the larger world of psychoanalytic thinking. Toward that end, she is committed to bringing analytic ideas into the public sphere, where they very much so belong.
